Congrats, Gamma Pi!

The sisters of Gamma Pi officially had the highest GPA of PHA sororities for the Spring 2010 semester. We also had the 2nd highest GPA in all of Greek Life.

We take our scholarship program very seriously and all of our hard work pays off! Our core value of Life Long Learning is something every sister strives to live to the fullest.

Congrats, Sayeh!

Sayeh Saidi (Formal Co-Chair) is now the Vice President of Jr PHA. After assuming the position in the middle of the semester, Sayeh has to put together a program in only a few weeks. The sisters of Gamma Pi are flexible and determined and we are confident that Sayeh is going to do a great job!

Life Long Learning

Gamma Pi held our 2nd Life Long Learning Event last week, hosted by the lovely Beta Tau class. Sisters were paired with their Study Buddy, a sister in a similar major, as part of our scholarship program and spoke about their majors and plans for after graduation.

Life Long Learning is a core value of Phi Sigma Sigma and something the Gamma Pi chapter takes very seriously. Through this event, sisters learned about areas of study outside of their discipline and the personal connections each sister has to their academic goals.

Gamma Pi is always seeking new ways to learn and live our core values. Great job, Beta Tau for your great efforts!

Rock-A-Thon Fall 2010

Hannah Dier (Archon) rocks during a late night shift.

The sisters of the Gamma Pi chapter raised $384.86 to donate to the National Kidney Foundation during the Fall 2010 Rock-A-Thon. The sisters also hosted a bake sale throughout the day that included homemade goodies like pumpkin spice cookies and cheesecake bars.

Thanks to all of the alumnae who made it out to help us rock and Steph Pully, the Philanthropy Chair, for all of her hard work.

Congrats, Liz!

Liz Walters (alum) is now the Risk Management Advisor for the Gamma Kappa chapter at Towson University.

Liz was once Gamma Pi's Risk Chair. She's currently in graduate school at Johns Hopkins University.

Congratulations, Liz! We know you'll take good care of our sisters at Towson University!

Revelation and Plant Ceremony

The Polka Dot Lineage fill the hallway for a picture.

Some bigs and littles at Revelation!

Sister and New Members pose for classic pictures after the Plant Ceremony.

On Friday, bigs and littles were finally revealed to each other after a fun Secret Sapphire week of clues and gifts. Although 2 pairs of Sapphire Sisters were revealed before Revelation, there were still plenty of excited and surprised faces. Several alumnae came to show their support for their lineages and we were so excited to see them!

The Sapphire Sister Ceremony and Plant Ceremony took place on Sunday and there were some creative adaptations of plants. Gamma Pi is so excited to watch these relationships grow as they are the true definition of sisterhood and one of the best parts of joining Greek Life.

Gamma Pi Participates in the NKF Walk in DC

The lovely sisters and new members of the Gamma Pi chapter participated in the NKF Walk in DC over the weekend. They met up with Phi Sig chapters from around the area to support our national philanthropy.
