Congrats, Katie!

Katie Dix just landed a job with the Parks and People Foundation as the CGRN (Community Greening Resource Network) Coordinator! It is also considered a fellowship with AmeriCorps. The active sisters of Gamma Pi know that this job was made for Katie and wish her the best of luck!

Before she starts working in July, she will be working with Girl Scouts developing and leading a series of self esteem workshops this summer.

Michelle McCoy: Multi-Talented Designer

College is a time to discover who you are and what you like. Michelle McCoy did just that when she decided to major in Graphic Design. Michelle kept herself busy with 3 internships this past semester and all of her hard work paid off.

She was the marketing intern for the Office of Student Life for the past year. Her job included designing the weekly events posers and a banner to be displayed throughout campus. She also worked on a mini magazine featuring events that happened this year at UMBC.

She also had an internship with Aveniu Brands (a wine marketing company). She had the opportunity to design a wine label for Belmondo wine. She also designed promotional pieces for other wines to be distributed in liquor stores around the country.

Her last internship included doing the book design of the UMBC Review, a journal of undergraduate research.

Michelle just got a full time job with Whitmore Group, a commercial printer, as a member of their Marketing Division. For more information, visit http://www.whitmore.com/

Michelle pursued her dreams and achieved her goals! We couldn't be more proud!

A Phi Sig at Yale

After her summer at Harvard last year, Rachanna Hailyur will be participating in the Sackler Undergraduate Fellowship Summer Program at Yale this summer!

Congrats, Seniors!

Gamma Pi could not be more proud or grateful for the hard work and dedication of the seniors who just graduated from UMBC. We know that whatever their endeavors, they will be just as influential in the real world. Congrats to Heather Jones, Julia Smearman, Jen Kent, Michelle McCoy, Katie Dix, Liz Walters, and Steph Layne (staying active). Casey Little and Andrea Murphy will also be leaving UMBC to go to UMBSON in the fall.
